General Questions

Do I need to know how to swim to join a snorkeling or scuba trip?

Basic swimming ability is recommended for snorkeling. For scuba diving, you should be comfortable in the water, but you don’t need to be a strong swimmer — our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is designed for beginners.

Can snorkelers and divers share the same boat?

Yes. Families and mixed groups can book together. Snorkelers, student divers, and certified divers often share the same trip, each with their own guide.

Is diving in Cancun safe?

Yes. As a PADI 5-Star Dive Center, Manta Divers follows strict safety standards. Trips include emergency oxygen onboard, small groups, and professional instructors.
