Service Description

Swim alongside the world’s largest fish on our Isla Mujeres whale shark snorkeling tour. Season runs June to August, with peak sightings most days in July and August. This is a surface snorkel only experience with trained guides, small groups, and clear rules that protect you and the animals. Expect blue water, gentle giants, and an unforgettable day on the ocean. Check in at 8:00 am at our Isla Mujeres shop. After a short briefing and gear fit, we head to the offshore aggregation zone where whale sharks feed near the surface. Boats work together to locate the group. Guests enter the water in small pairs with a guide, take turns for multiple swims, then rest onboard between jumps with water and light snacks. After the encounter, we continue to Isla Contoy for a relaxed ceviche beach lunch, then visit a nearby reef for a short guided snorkel with colorful fish and shallow coral heads. Return to Isla in the afternoon. Total time on the water is about 5 hours, sea conditions dependent. What is included Snorkeling gear sized for you, optional wetsuits, float belts, bottled water, light snacks, beach ceviche lunch, reef stop, shade, easy ladder entry, safety equipment. No hidden dock or park fees. Rules and safety No touching or chasing. Keep a respectful distance. Two guests plus one guide in the water at a time. Enter calmly, stay at the surface, and follow the guide’s line. Use a rashguard; avoid lotions and sprays in the water. We monitor weather and port status every morning. If conditions are unsafe or the port closes, we reschedule or refund. Who can join Ages 6+ who are confident swimmers and comfortable in open ocean. Motion sensitivity is possible offshore; consider precautions. This is a snorkel tour, not scuba.
