PADI Rescue Diver - Cancun

Service Description

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you to prevent problems underwater, and to manage them when they happen. Most divers say it is the course that changed how they dive, because you stop thinking only about yourself and start watching the whole group. BEFORE YOU BOOK To enroll you need: PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent To be at least 12 years old That is all. Two things you might expect to arrange or pay for separately are included here: the PADI Emergency First Response course, which certifies you in CPR and first aid, and the Underwater Navigation dive if you have not already completed it. HOW THE COURSE RUNS You complete the PADI eLearning theory at home before you travel. In Cancun you spend two to three days with us: your Emergency First Response training, the navigation dive if you need it, confined water sessions to practice the rescue skills, then open water scenarios where you handle simulated emergencies for real. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Recognizing and managing stress in yourself and others, before it becomes an emergency. Assisting tired or panicked divers, at the surface and underwater. Responding to an unresponsive diver, including rescue breaths and getting them out of the water. Searching for and recovering a missing diver. Building and using an emergency action plan for a real dive site. CPR and first aid, through the PADI Emergency First Response course. Rescue Diver is also the step before going professional. It is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster program. We include scuba gear, wetsuits, bottled water, seasonal fruits, granola bars, and all taxes and fees. Exclusions are transportation to our dive shop, gratuities, photo/video packages, and souvenirs. Check our FAQ for directions to our dive center.
