MUSA & Reef | Museo Subacuático de Arte

$130 USD

Scuba diver among the underwater sculptures of MUSA, the Museo Subacuatico de Arte off Cancun and Isla Mujeres

Scuba diving MUSA, the Cancun Underwater Museum (Museo Subacuático de Arte), is the most iconic dive in the Mexican Caribbean, and our 2-tank MUSA and Reef trip does it properly.

Your first dive drops onto the museum itself, where more than 500 life-size sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor rest in shallow, sunlit water at around 30 feet, slowly transformed into a living artificial reef.

You glide between the figures as angelfish, parrotfish, and the occasional turtle move through them. The second tank takes you to one of Cancun's natural coral reefs, drifting easily over colorful corals, tropical fish, and rays.

Because MUSA is shallow and calm, this scuba diving in Cancun suits everyone: certified divers of all levels, first-timers on Discover Scuba, and snorkelers, all on the same boat.

Small groups, PADI 5-Star guides, and full equipment are included, along with every marine park and dock fee, so nothing is charged on arrival.

Bring everyone. This Cancun underwater museum tour is the rare dive where certified divers, first-timers on a Discover Scuba dive, and snorkelers all share the same boat, so nobody in your group gets left on shore.

You float over one of the world's largest underwater art museums, more than 500 Jason deCaires Taylor sculptures turned into a thriving artificial reef in shallow, sunlit water at about 30 feet.

It is easy, calm, and endlessly photogenic, the single most iconic thing to do underwater in Cancun. Prefer to stay on the surface? The same museum works as a MUSA snorkeling tour. Every marine park and dock fee is already included, with nothing charged on arrival.

60 ft Classic Reef Dives: Cancun's Deeper Coral Gardens

$130 USD

Certified scuba divers exploring a deeper coral reef on a 60 foot dive off Cancun

Our 60 ft Classic Reef dives are the heart of scuba diving in Cancun for certified divers, exploring the outer coral gardens of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest reef system on earth.

Checking in for the morning boat, you head out for a relaxed two-tank trip to Cancun dive sites chosen on the day for the best conditions.

At around 60 feet (18 meters) the reef opens up: larger coral formations, dramatic swim-throughs, and sandy channels where turtles, moray eels, groupers, stingrays, and huge schools of tropical fish gather. Visibility regularly tops 80 feet.

The slightly deeper profile is comfortable for newer certified divers yet still exciting for experienced ones, and it is the same reef our Open Water students dive on Day 2, so mixed-level groups can share the boat.

Warm water, mild currents, small groups, PADI 5-Star guides, and all gear and park fees are included.

Wreck & Reef | Dive the C55 and C58

$130 USD

Scuba diver descending on the C58 shipwreck and coral reef off Cancun

For divers who want more adventure, our Wreck and Reef trip is the best wreck diving in Cancun.

The first dive descends on the C-55 and C-58, two WWII Admiral-class minesweepers deliberately sunk to create artificial reefs off Cancun, now resting between 60 and 80 feet and swarming with barracuda, jacks, and snappers, with eagle rays often cruising past.

Penetrations stay in open, easy-access areas, so you get the real thrill of exploring a shipwreck within safe limits. The second tank drifts a nearby Cancun reef, past turtles, moray eels, groupers, and clouds of colorful fish.

This is a deeper dive suited to intermediate and advanced certified divers, and it doubles as Day 2 of the PADI Advanced Open Water course, so students and certified divers share the boat.

A 4-to-1 guide ratio, small groups, PADI 5-Star instructors, full equipment, and all marine park and dock fees are included.

This is Cancun's only true wreck diving, and the best shipwreck diving on the coast. You descend on the C-55 and C-58, two WWII minesweepers sunk as artificial reefs and now swarming with barracuda, jacks, snappers, and passing eagle rays, then finish on a nearby reef.

Private dive and snorkel boat charter for up to ten guests off Cancun

Our Private Dive and Snorkel Boat is a whole-boat charter in Cancun for your group alone, up to ten guests with nobody else aboard. Because it is private, the day runs on your schedule and your pace.

The boat carries up to eight divers plus snorkelers, mixed however your group works, so certified divers can dive the reefs, statues, or wrecks, first-timers can try Discover Scuba, and everyone else can snorkel, all together on the same private charter.

It is the easiest way for a mixed family or group of friends to spend a day on the water without leaving anyone behind.

Certified divers explore to their certification limits with a PADI 5-Star guide, while snorkelers float the shallow reef and MUSA sculptures alongside.

Full scuba and snorkel equipment, a private guide and crew, refreshments, and all marine park and dock fees are included, with Discover Scuba available as an add-on for non-certified guests.
