Book the entire boat and share the whale sharks with no one but your own group. Our private whale shark charter is the most comfortable and flexible way to experience the summer gathering off Cancun, with no rotation and no waiting your turn behind other guests. The guide, the crew, and the water time are all yours. Choose the boat that fits your party: a smaller boat for up to 5 guests over about 8 hours, or a larger boat for up to 10 guests. Both run with a certified captain and a dedicated guide, all conservation and dock fees included, and snorkel gear aboard. Private charters also offer wetsuits, which are not available on shared trips, for anyone who wants the extra warmth and buoyancy. The day starts early, when the sea is calm and the sharks are feeding. After your time with the whale sharks there is room to relax, swim, and enjoy the food and drinks aboard before heading back. It is the ideal choice for families, groups of friends, photographers who want unhurried time in the water, or anyone who simply prefers their own space. No certification or experience is needed, just swimmers ready for the encounter of a lifetime. The season runs June to August only and private dates book up fast, so reserve early. What sets the private charter apart is time in the water. Because the boat is yours, you are not on a shared schedule that turns back when the first guests get tired or seasick. You can stay out with the sharks until the park closes in the early afternoon, take far more turns in the water than a mixed boat allows, and skip the extra reef stops so the day stays focused on one thing, the most possible time alongside the whale sharks. The trip ends when your group decides, not when the majority votes to head in, and the boat is back at the dock by about 2 pm. Included: private boat for your group, certified captain and guide, snorkel equipment, wetsuits on request, all conservation and dock fees, water, sodas, fruit, and sandwiches.
